Complaint policy

1. Introduction

This policy explains how to make a complaint about OtakuFans or about content on it, and how we handle complaints. For users of the website, it applies together with our Terms of Service.

2. Business days

“Business days” means Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in the United States.

3. Who can complain

Anyone can make a complaint, whether or not they have an account.

4. How to make a complaint

Use the form on this page, or email contact@otakufans.net. Describe your complaint and, if it is about content, give the URL of each item.

5. Illegal or non-consensual content

An intimate image or video shared without the consent of the person shown: we remove it within 48 hours of receiving a valid request, and we make reasonable efforts to find and remove identical copies.

Content that may involve a minor: we remove it as soon as we see the complaint and take the action the law requires.

Other illegal or non-consensual content, including content that uses someone’s likeness without consent: we aim to resolve the complaint within five business days. We may contact you if we need more information, and we investigate every complaint in good faith.

If we remove the content, we tell you by email. If we decide that it is not illegal or non-consensual, we also tell you, and explain why. If you disagree, reply to that email and a different member of our team will review the decision.

6. Copyright

Tell us which work you own and the URL of each infringing item, and confirm that you are the owner or authorized to act for them, that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized, and that your request is accurate. We remove infringing content and may tell the person who posted it.

7. Other complaints

We investigate other complaints within a reasonable time and promptly remove content that breaks our Terms of Service. We may not report the outcome to you.

8. Unjustified or abusive complaints

Please do not make complaints you know to be unjustified, abusive or made in bad faith. If an account holder does, we may suspend or close the account.
