Prompt Writing Tutorial

To help everyone get more out of our website and make creating easier, we’ll be releasing a series of tutorials introducing different features and creation tips on Otakufans. Today’s tutorial is:

When generating images, your prompt has a direct impact on the final result. Depending on whether you care more about convenience or precise control over the image, we recommend the following three ways to write prompts.

If you just want to have fun and don’t want to spend time writing a long, detailed prompt, you can turn on AI Prompt Enhancement in the settings at the bottom-left corner of the input box. All you need to do is describe the image you want in simple words—for example, where the character is, what they’re wearing, and what they’re doing. AI will understand your idea, automatically expand and improve your prompt, and then generate the image for you. You don’t need to describe everything in detail or learn any advanced prompt-writing techniques. For example: Make the character look happy and do a V-sign. AI will automatically add more visual details based on your description and generate the image.

If you have clear and specific requirements for the image, want as much control over the result as possible, or have certain features you especially want to emphasize, you can turn off AI Prompt Enhancement in the settings at the bottom-left corner of the input box and enter your full image description directly. The more specific your description is, the easier it is for AI to understand exactly what you want. We recommend including as many of the following details as possible: Background / Setting: Where is the character? What is around them? Clothing: What are they wearing? What colors and styles? Action / Pose: What is the character doing? Expression: Smiling, surprised, shy, serious, etc. Character / Object Interaction: What are they holding? Who or what are they interacting with? Camera Angle / Composition: Close-up, full body, top-down view, low-angle shot, side view, first-person perspective, etc. Other Important Details: Anything you especially want to keep or emphasize. You can write your prompt in detailed natural language, use Tags, or combine both. For example: A girl sitting in a café, wearing a white shirt and a black slip dress, holding a coffee cup in one hand and making a V-sign with the other, smiling at the camera, upper-body close-up, slightly angled side view, 1girl, sitting, smile, night, looking at viewer, upper body

If you don’t want to describe every detail yourself but still want more control over certain important elements, this method is a great option.

1. Turn on AI Prompt Enhancement in the settings at the bottom-left corner of the input box.
2. Briefly describe the image you want and click Generate. AI will create a more detailed prompt for you.
3. Open the information for the generated image, find the AI-enhanced prompt, and copy it.
4. Paste the prompt back into the input box and add your image.
5. Add any specific features or Tags that you want to emphasize.
6. Turn off AI Prompt Enhancement, then click Generate again. This way, you can let AI help fill in the scene and visual details while still having more precise control over the elements that matter most to you. Go ahead and start creating!
